AJ Riggs- Massage Therapist / Owner

My name is Angela but everybody calls me A.J. I am from a small town  in Oklahoma called Poteau. I moved to Hot Springs in 2005 and have been a practicing massage therapist since that time. I always dreamt of owning my own spa and my parents helped make that dream possible.

With some financial support from my parents, we opened  Destinations doors in 2009. A year later the Hot Springs Laser Institute joined our team, bringing their specialized services to the Spa on Tuesdays & Thursdays. It has been very challenging at times but I learn so much and I grow daily.

I thank God for the success and my parents for believing in me. We lost my father to cancer in June of 2010. I often hope he looks down and he is proud of the me and of my dream that he helped me to achieve. In this business we touch many lives, many visitors come to this town and we may never see them again, but our goal is to make their time at Destinations unforgettable and cherished!

Our staff is a compassionate, caring, and well trained. Come see what makes us so different from the other spa’s in town.

I have lived in Hot Springs for 14 years with my Husband and our 3 children and 2 stepsons. I have 2 amazing grandsons who fill my life with joy. I have been a nail technician for 12 years and have worked the spa atmosphere in several places before finding my home at Destinations Day Spa.

Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Penelope Jade and I am a licensed Esthetician (and soon to be professional makeup artist). I’m a firm believer that you should do what you love in life, which is why I chose the beauty industry for my career. I love to help people look and feel their best. My interest in esthetics started in high school and I have always loved make up (thanks to Gwen Stefani). After a couple years of college I decided to change my career path and study something I would want to do, even if I wasn’t getting paid for it. So, here I am and loving it!
